Occasionally, I work with people outside of my own projects. Most of these conversations begin when someone is already building or changing a product and wants another set of eyes on the work for a short time. The goal is to review what already exists, understand usage, and identify where I can make an impact.
In those situations, I approach the work the same way I would inside a product team. I look at how the system operates today and help identify decisions that are currently blocking progress. Other times it means talking through a decision before a new build, or stepping in briefly when a team needs support.
